Florac, between CEVENNES,
CAUSSES AND GORGES DU TARN
 Florac
is a pleasant small touristic city in the department the Lozere,
located at the heart of the National park of the Cevennes, between the
highlands -the Causses, the Cevennes and the Gorges du Tarn.
The city lies in a beatiful valley were the three rivers le Tarn, le
Tarnon and le Mimente meet.
You will find in Florac all useful shops and services. You will enjoy
the local markets and artisanal fairs, the many concerts, festivals and
other cultural events. And don't forget the local recipes (chestnut,
pelardon cheeses, pork charcuteries, honey ...).
The region has a very rich cultural inheritance, influenced by 2 complementary
currents : mediterranean and mountain culture. The headquarters of the
Cevennes National Park is located in the castle of Florac,
where its
information center will provide you useful information to discover this
beautiful area and its environment.

Nature Festival organized by the National park of the Cevennes
off April till October (free daily excursions, with various themes. They
